Fatima Alanis of Queens in North Carolina, representing Mexico, took third in the women's 10,000-meter final in 33:39.14 at the NCAA Division 2 Outdoor Championships at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich. Alanis ascended to the No. 17 competitor in Division 2 history, finishing third for the second year in a row in Michigan.
